I have a suggestion!!
How bout implementing a "badges" system? As people are more active and contribute to the forum, they can earn different badges that appear above every post (like our post count, rank, etc).
Kind of like girl/boy scouts haha. There can be like site "skinner" or "donator" or whatever else Esgar deems to be worthy of special attention!
Here's an example, look at the thread starter's stats on the left of his post.
I like the name Jason.
