There has been some talk on basil about Maple not liking xFire and people actually getting banned for running it at the same time. Although I'm not 100% sure you will be banned for xFire, it is a possibility. I have used xFire in the past to chat while in-game, but I don't think I will anymore, just in case.

That's stupid....why would you be banned for xfire >.<
Edit:I mean as in why would Nexon ban you for xfire not the rumor.

I believe it is because xFire latches itself onto maple and runs inside the game itself. I tested once, and I was able to close the xFire application while alt-tabbed, and it was still running in-game. Maple may pick this up as a keylogger or a number of other things. So, just be careful guys

Yeah, I usually use Skype while playing in game to talk to friends, and that's never been a problem as far as I know.

xFire is basically an AIM for gamers. The only difference is that xfire will tell you if friends are playing an online game, at that moment. (so you would see this guy on WOW, another on Maple, and etc. etc.)

It also checks your computer for all the games you have/play, and logs the hours on an online profile for your account. I usually compare with my frends to see who's more addicted. XD

Thanx though. I'll stop definately stop using xFire with maple.
