    Priest Skill Build (support)

This skill build is for priests who will mostly train in parties between level 70 and level 120. Most priests fall under this category, mainly because priests are regarded as support characters. A priest that would prefer to train solely on his or her own should follow the solo skill build. A priest that has friends who battle Zakum should follow the boss skill build.

    1 Shining Ray at 70
Shining Ray is the strongest attack priests receive until fourth job. Not only that, but it's priest's first mob attack that can attack all enemies. Many recommend priests should put one point into Shining Ray to help them train on their own (it happens sometimes sadly) and to finish quests (rice quest anyone?). It is also nice to fool around with once you reach level 70. Think of it as your reward for reaching priest. Remember: This game is supposed to be fun - so enjoy it!

    1 Elemental Resistance at 71
Elemental Resistance used to be more important to priests at low levels. It helped them to train in the Ludibrium Dungeon (Master Death Teddies). Many of the newer common training spots for priests are not affected by Elemental Resistance, so adding one point into Elemental Resistance is not recommended. However, if you wish to train on Master Death Teddies, you may want to consider adding one point into the skill at level 71 to receive a 12% increase in tolerance against element-based spell attacks.

    1 Mystic Door at 72
Mystic Door is a skill every priest should have, but not necessarily at early levels. It is recommended to put one point into Mystic Door at level 72 to be able to teleport, or Door, party members from town to your map.

    Longer Mystic Door
If you would like Mystic Door to last a bit longer so you can sell drops and/or buy potions, you can add a few more points into the skill. Some recommended levels are four (1 minute), seven (1.5 minutes), and ten (2 minutes). It is suggested priests wait until after Holy Symbol is at the maximum level, but if the priest (and his/her training partners) don't mind a 6%, 12%, or 18% decrease in the EXP boost, they should go ahead and add points to Mystic Door first.

Nooo, Eww Esgar. Dragon only lv 15. It is a waste to put it more then 15 because of Bahamut. You only need lv 15 Dragon to get Bahamut at 120. So The rest should go into doom or something more useful.

Doom is the only other skill and that is even more of a waste. Dragon is not elemental, ergo better at bosses and mobs strong against holy. Also, Dragon lasts much longer than Doom and adds more time per level than Doom. Therefore, Dragon is the better choice. And if you want to argue that it could be put into skills in the first or second job, that would be even more of a waste. Holy Arrow has an attack of 80 with 60% mastery versus Shining Ray with an attack 105 and 60% mastery (multiplied by 6). The only other skills left are Energy Bolt and Magic Armor. Magic armor doesn't help at all until Level 11 (due to bless). With the 16 SP left (if you don't get doom at all), you could have a 32 weapon defense boost for 300 seconds compared to a 20 weapon defense boost from bless for 200 seconds. It would also take valuable time from training to use the skill (not much, but it adds up). Energy Bolt is even weaker than Holy Arrow. To have more SP for armor, you could use the leftover points from 2nd job (for Holy Arrow) and 3rd job (for max dragon and 1 doom) and place them into Magic Armor. Even then, it's only 20 more weapon defense than Bless and you still have to take the time cast the spell.

This leaves us with Doom and the never-ending argument: Doom or Dragon. Dragon uses 1 summoning rock and lasts 2 minutes 20 seconds. Doom uses 1 magic rock and lasts 20 seconds. Dragon attacks all monsters (stronger than max Holy Arrow even against holy-weak monsters) and you don't have to worry about it for 2 minutes 20 seconds (longer than HS - you can recast when you cast bless/HS/etc). Doom, on the other hand, would be at level 16 if you don't max Dragon. This would last for 13 seconds with a 76% success rate. So, not only does it only last for 13 seconds, but you would have to recast it 24% of the time. Also, it only works on 6 monsters at a time. Dragon, however, attacks constantly for the entire time.

In conclusion, Dragon is more useful than any of the other skills available for use. Doom is the only real contender, but it is far too expensive and doesn't help with bosses at all in the future. So, forward-looking, I recommend dragon.
